Pergola Scape // Blushing Leopard
laced in dusk
It’s been fall for the last month and I’m just now sporting the leather jacket, an ideal piece for this season. And how perfect that this skirt just compliments the dusky sky. This was quite the fitting outfit to end the week.
But it has been a long one especially with some personal loss that’s happened. Now it’s time to enjoy the last of October and onto giving thanks.

Can I just say that red lips are always in?! At least in my world they are. So much so that wearing them on this cute little sweater might deem me as obsessive. But that’s ok because like Elizabeth Taylor said, ” …put on some lipstick (red of course) and pull yourself together.”
I love the idea of a feminine outfit but not so pulled together sometimes, so I wore these faux leather pants to toughen up the look. But because black is a color staple in my wardrobe, you’ll never not see me without it somewhere within my look of the day.
Here the sun was in the midst of setting, hence the intense glowing skin. But let’s really take a moment to enjoy the wall, it’s quite picturesque.

RED
Let’s take a moment to take in this leopard beret … it’s so perfect. I find it funny when leopard print is announced as “fall trend” every time this season comes around. It’s a staple and can be worn year round. And it especially pops against red as I have it paired here.
To keep the the outfit aligned, I pulled out my Micheal Kors oversized clutch in the color luggage. But what I love is draping a jacket in this way, just above the shoulders. It adds a cool factor and is another way to wear one.
And yet another week of fall is gone. I hope everyone had a great weekend. I definitely couldn’t start the week without another beret outfit. Thanks so much for reading!

pleats & high grace
Trumpet sleeves have been around but for this trend to resurface in Fall of 2016 is so great! H&M did good with this top. It’s got a romance and ethereal feel. Another thing I love about this blouse is how versatile it will become in the seasons to follow. It’s got a neutral color, which will make pairing it with other pieces easy.
What really drew me to this trend was the memory it brought back. When I was in middle school, I owned this trumpet sleeve top with colors of a burnt sunset. I absolutely loved it and still have pictures. Granted, the sleeve has evolved much here with small pleats, giving it elegance.
If Grace Kelly were here today, she would would be absolutely breathtaking in this. It definitely screams Modern Victorian.

a little PLAID
I wore this skirt in a similar way last fall because of how weather appropriate it is. You’ve got your knee high boots and mock neck sweater to make an instant outfit. It sometimes can be a bit challenging to find a skirt that doesn’t make you want to cringe at the cold, yet wearable enough without tights. I sometimes like skirts best without tights; being that you’re wearing a full coverage top and knee high shoes, it leaves just enough for the imagination.
It’s most important to wear a whole piece with confidence. Otherwise, you put yourself in an awkward situation and begin to feel uncomfortable with your outfit choice. Because this skirt has some stretch, it allows free movement.
To complete these pieces, I added a quilted cross body (which i turned into a shoulder bag for this outfit). It plays up the pattern on the skirt. And my handbag isn’t fully dressed without a pom keychain!
I hope you enjoyed this fall day! I love dressing for this season. It’s the most anticipated time (for me at least) and I wouldn’t mind if fall would just stay. Don’t forget, you can shop this look below. Thanks for reading!
