It’s becoming a smooth Spring transition. Still a bit chilly but I am definitely enjoying the in coming colors.
I hope everyone is having a wonderful week. Spring may slowly be coming home, but so are my allergies. Who else struggles with this?

Blue Blossoms & Tweed

HELLO LOVES! It’s been a while since I’ve shared a post. I’ve been caught up in trying to figure out some personal things for which I do apologize! But the good news is, I believe the snow is gone for good this time. It’s been raining instead but I would choose that any day.
Now on to a more relevant topic, I am ecstatic to say that my spring wardrobe can come out to play now. In the last couple months, I’ve been trying to add more color to my closet. A reason being that I have so many classic pieces but I wanted a pattern, print or pop of color from time to time to add interest.

Here I have a floral scarf, which by the way is the most beautiful piece I’ve ever seen for such a bargain price too. And to note, this scarf is filled with peony print, my favorite blossom. It’s definitely going to be a part of my wardrobe forever.
I paired it with this tweed cross body for which both lie in complimentary color schemes.

And of course I kept the rest of my outfit to a minimum. This off the shoulder trend is taking my closet by storm. It’s popular for a reason because you can dress it up or down.

I’m excited to wear this top many ways, one being with flare denim bottoms. It’ll be like channeling something from the 70’s. Or with high-waist color bottoms. Which ever way, stay tuned friends.
Thanks so much for reading!!

the tailored minimalist

This short coat has been a winter favorite. What’s great about it is how light it is. But also, with how petite I am, I can layer with a thick sweater and it fits everywhere. The size I am wearing is an XXSP, which is what I love about Banana Republic. It’s tailored made to fit in every way.

Now, classy as this coat is, I kept it streamlined and coordinated with the same colors but different tones. If you’ve kept up with my other posts, you will know I adore neutral color order because less is more. I may be sporting shades of brown here but I used to detest it.”It’s so boring”, or that’s what I used to say. Until I was employed by Michael kors whom had the shade “luggage” and that was it. Funny how things change as you get older.
Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful week.

.. “tell me about it, Stud” ..

This trend has got to be one of my favorites! I have collected so many off the shoulder tops in the last couple seasons that it’s ridiculous! It’s become an addiction I can’t shake off. There’s been many, many ways I’ve seen this trend designed. From ruffles, to simply chic like the one I have on or with stripes . But whichever way it’s made, it results in a unique way.

I kept the outfit simple with a touch of tough. The flats, although in an elegant D’Orsay form, have straps and studs which add a twist to the shoes. In return, it elevates the outfit. But I’m obsessed with subtle studs on some things so it’s not a surprise.

I hope your day has been good besides it being a cold one. Again, thanks so much for reading!

.. NUDES ..

What is it with monochrome ensembles that makes an outfit in an instant? You can never go wrong with varying tones of one color. I find it very easy to do (mainly because I have many neutrals in my wardrobe) when you’re short on time or if you want to stand out. Yes, dressing in a monochromatic way pulls you out in a crowd. It may seem like such a simple outfit BUT it doesn’t exclude how simply chic you will be.
You can add pieces with texture, like I have here in lace, which gives the pieces their own personality. Or you can go with an all tweed outfit in black. However you wear it is your style. It’s about owning it.
