It’s definitely obvious that pink is HUGE in my wardrobe for Spring this year. It could definitely pass for a neutral now that I think about it. It’s just refreshing to see pastels come into light as opposed to all the dark colors I’ve been wearing for the past few months. Perhaps I should work on adding prints into my closet now to increase variety.
How is the Spring for you thus far?

Shopping for the warmer months is never ending for me. I tell myself all the time that “I really only need this one piece and my wardrobe will be complete for the season” ….. just to find myself with a couple new pieces a week or two later. This Spring has my pocket books emptying so fast. LOL. Now that it’s creeping it’s way over, I cannot wait to share what I’ve purchased!
Like the skirt in this post. I bought it two months back and have been waiting to wear it. The snow takes an incredibly long time to melt because the temperatures stay so steady .. and then we get hit again (twice to be exact) with heavy snow. So I hung it back up until the cold settled. Keeping my fingers crossed that it stays away for good now.
Have you made any Spring purchases yet? Let me know below! 😉
HELLO LOVES! It’s been a while since I’ve shared a post. I’ve been caught up in trying to figure out some personal things for which I do apologize! But the good news is, I believe the snow is gone for good this time. It’s been raining instead but I would choose that any day.
Now on to a more relevant topic, I am ecstatic to say that my spring wardrobe can come out to play now. In the last couple months, I’ve been trying to add more color to my closet. A reason being that I have so many classic pieces but I wanted a pattern, print or pop of color from time to time to add interest.
Here I have a floral scarf, which by the way is the most beautiful piece I’ve ever seen for such a bargain price too. And to note, this scarf is filled with peony print, my favorite blossom. It’s definitely going to be a part of my wardrobe forever.
I paired it with this tweed cross body for which both lie in complimentary color schemes.
And of course I kept the rest of my outfit to a minimum. This off the shoulder trend is taking my closet by storm. It’s popular for a reason because you can dress it up or down.
I’m excited to wear this top many ways, one being with flare denim bottoms. It’ll be like channeling something from the 70’s. Or with high-waist color bottoms. Which ever way, stay tuned friends.

What is it with monochrome ensembles that makes an outfit in an instant? You can never go wrong with varying tones of one color. I find it very easy to do (mainly because I have many neutrals in my wardrobe) when you’re short on time or if you want to stand out. Yes, dressing in a monochromatic way pulls you out in a crowd. It may seem like such a simple outfit BUT it doesn’t exclude how simply chic you will be.
You can add pieces with texture, like I have here in lace, which gives the pieces their own personality. Or you can go with an all tweed outfit in black. However you wear it is your style. It’s about owning it.

Spring is just around the corner as the weather settles. I’m excited for all the light pieces I’ve stocked up on. I’m that person that shops off season. So in the warmer months, I’ll look for Winter/Fall deals, and in the colder months, I’ll shop for Spring/Summer bargains.
It’s all about knowing when to look for those deals. I’m an online shopper (since shopping malls can be too busy) you know about deals sooner. And signing up for a retailer’s email benefits you. They make sure you get the best deals. I mean, not all retailers have the best savings but it allows you to see which one is right for your style and budget.
I hope everyone’s having a wonderful week. Thanks so much for reading.
..when all you want is a city to call home and a place to spread your wings, like Blair Waldorf & New York because you’re never alone but you’re on your own. All it takes is a pink leatherette, a leopard piece and some “glass” slippers to keep your chin up so the crown doesn’t slip..

..it was a stroll through Centennial Lakes where these beautiful orange flowers, so little but rambunctious, were found. A little further and these pine trees cradled the sun to shade my path. And just at the end of the trail, the fish had come to play blowing kisses to the surface, skipping the tops like flying flat rocks.
