There’s nothing better than a chunky knit and flare bottoms. You definitely can’t go wrong with casual all around, especially on a Friday. But if anyone knows me, I’m a sucker for a good pair of heels too, both secure and something I can last in all day; the shoes add chic with comfort. These Charles David heels are the first pair of pumps I own that don’t have me cringe twenty minutes into wearing them. I love that the inner soles are cushioned, which makes them wearable. And now I’m ready for the weekend and the 40’s in temp that are coming.

BALI dreams

 I took advantage of the temperature drop and am loving every minute. I don’t mind winter for it’s white beauty but cannot stand the cold drafts. So whenever there’s a warmer day, I have to sneak some light, cute outfits in. Of course there’s many cute ways to dress for the winter weather, but this kind lasts till early April sometimes. Nature doesn’t discriminate up here in the northern region of the states.
For this warmer day, I wanted casual and comfy so jeans always defines that. And this top against the light was the cherry. What this color, chartreuse, reminds me of is Bali. This is a color you’d see in a Bali sunset … it’s definitely a destination I’d like to visit someday.

Tutu en Pointe

I’ve never felt more Grace Kelly in this tutu skirt. It definitely embodies class and simplicity. Wearing this skirt gives me so much joy because of how feminine it is. And the fact that it channels the inner ballet dancer I wanted to be at age 7, I love it that much more. I mean, what girl didn’t want to be en pointe at some point as a child.

I found this little tweed coat at Zara during their sale. It was very affordable and will definitely turn heads. What I love is how luxe it looks, at a fraction of the cost of an original Chanel. And now it’s become one of my new favorites. This coat will dress any outfit up.

..I’m going to share a short personal story about the leather jacket. Growing up I always saw leather jackets as “too tough”. My first sighting of it was in Grease (which is one of my all-time favorite classic films). But I could never see myself wearing a leather jacket … ever, or so I thought. Did Sandra Dee prove me wrong or what. She looked so good in her little leather one that it gave me some confidence. And let me just say, I never looked back once. It DEFINITELY isn’t named a closet staple for anyone, for nothing.

I’m officially 26 today and it physically feels no different than last year, but mentally and goals wise, ALOT has changed. All of which I couldn’t have done it without the help of my favorite person, best friend and most supportive boyfriend. And to top it off, this fringed hem top says it all. I had to carry the party along. 😉
The beginning of the year has had a fantastic opening and I can just feel that 2017 will be lots of wonderful comings. Thanks so much for reading and I hope you’ll enjoy this blessed day just as I will.

Goodbye 2016! And to all the fails that have brought successes. Yet,  I can’t believe another year has flown by and it seems as though it was just January 2016 where I sat down to plan my 25th birthday.
What the past year has taught me is that patience is not to wait for when something will happen, instead it showed me what to do with the time in between. I will be bringing this message into the new year to continue this invaluable lesson. Like all dreamers, I’m most excited for 2017 and the new adventures waiting to happen. It’s always an unfolding chapter just waiting to be filled with words.
